ABOUT AGRO DEVELOPMENT
Agro Development was established in 2015 in village Tortiza, Gori region, Georgia. It consists of 5 partners, who operated in agricultural sector in 2011-2014 as sole entrepreneurs.
For today, Agro Development owns 21 hectares of agricultural land, 4 300 sq. meters of non-agricultural land, 350 sq. meters of warehouse/building for product sorting. The warehouse co-financed by ENPARD (European Neighborhood Program for Agriculture and Rural Development) in 2016.
In 2016, within the governmental project of Georgia “Plant The Future”, the company created a new, perennial plant garden of modern standards, consisting of 7 000 various apple trees. The apple saplings were imported from Italy, supplied by Nursery Gruber Genetti Andreas.
The company holds apple and plum gardens, covering 5.5 hectares of land. The rest of 15.5 hectares of land is used for annual plants.
OUR GOALS
Since Agro Development is a new company, it faces some main goals, that the management aims to achieve in the nearest year. Some of the main issues concern:
Standardization of the company and production in accordance with the requirements of international standards
Co-operation with international organizations and establishing long-term partner relationships in terms of import (purchasing of saplings of perennial plants, consulting services, modern technologies, machinery etc.), as well as for exporting products
Brand introduction on international markets.
